HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR STAY
Day 1 – After our morning pick-ups we enjoy a leisurely journey to our hotel, located in the seaside town of Looe.
Day 2 – This morning we travel to nearby Padstow, for free time. Watching the everyday ebb and flow of the harbour is a very relaxing way to spend the morning. We then take you to Prideaux Place, a charming Elizabethan manor, where we enjoy a guided tour of the House and Gardens. The beautiful manor sits on a hill above Padstow, and the grounds boast some of the finest views over its ancient Deer Park, and is one of Cornwall’s oldest inhabitable houses, belonging to the Prideaux family since the 11th century.
Day 3 – Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Looe. If the weather’s nice perhaps, take a trip out to Looe Island, once a holy pilgrimage site, nowadays it’s a sanctuary for rare plants and wildlife (not included). Or, enjoy the Looe Museum, which houses a collection of smuggling memorabilia. However, you wish to spend today, is up to you.
Day 4 – After breakfast we will be joined on the coach by a local guide for a full day guided tour, where we will see and learn about some Cornish locations of great myths and legends! During the day, we will enjoy stops at Tintagel Castle – these fascinating ruins are steeped in history and have links to King Arthur – and Bodmin Moor, one of Cornwall’s designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a spooky mythological past.
Day 5 – We visit Mevagissey, an attractive old town with a tradition of boat building dating back to 1745 and Perranporth.
Day 6 – After an interesting break we take you home.
