Day 1 – Sit back, relax and enjoy a leisurely journey to our gorgeous hotel in the pretty town of Pitlochry. On arrival enjoy tea, coffee and a festive cream tea and during our stay there will be nightly entertainment.
Day 2 – After breakfast we travel to Loch Leven Kinross, the medieval Lochlevel castle can be seen from the shore where Mary Queen of Scots was jailed in 1567, the tower house where she was held is one of Scotland’s oldest buildings, built in the 13th Century. Here, we enjoy a little bit of free time, perhaps grab a quick bite to eat whilst enjoying the incredible scenery. Afterwards, we will take a scenic drive along Glenfarg Road as we travel to the historic city of Perth, where we will spend the remainder of our afternoon. Set beside the beautiful River Tay, Perth offers a fantastic selection of independent shops offering a wide range of unique, quirky and high-quality products that you wouldn’t usually find anywhere else! Back at the hotel we will enjoy mulled wine and mince pies, and later this evening you will also have the opportunity to attend Midnight Mass*. (*This is an optional excursion).
Day 3 – Celebrate Christmas Day surrounded by the stunning scenery of Highland Perthshire in our traditional hotel. After breakfast enjoy the wonderful festivities of the day; including a visit from Father Christmas (if you’ve been good). Later, feast on a traditional Christmas Day lunch and laugh late into the evening with another night of live entertainment and carol singing with the staff all in the comfort of the hotel.
Day 4 – Forget the crowded sales this Boxing Day, instead we enjoy a scenic drive through picturesque villages, sparkling rivers and stunning highlight scenery. Today we will see Blair Atholl, a charming village home to the impressive Blair Castle; The Pass of Killiecrankie, a magnificent wooded gorge with the River Garry flowing along its base. We end our scenic adventure with a visit to the celebrated vista of the Queen’s View, which overlooks Loch Tummel and is said to have been named after Queen Victoria following her visit to the area in 1866. Dinner this evening is followed by entertainment.
Day 5 – After breakfast we visit Dundee, Scotland’s first UNESCO City of Design before we return home.
