NEW: STEPPING BACK IN TIME SALUTE TO THE 40'S VINTAGE FESTIVAL 2019

3 DAYS

Keep Calm and Carry on at Salute to the 40’s – at Chatham’s Historic Dockyard, it’s one of “Britain’s Best Vintage Festivals.” Paying homage to the heyday of the big band, this festival showcases the best that this era has to offer! From vintage stalls, to nostalgic sing‐a‐longs and 40’s entertainment, vintage car parades and much more. The historic Dockyard will be transformed into a tribute to all things 40s!

DURING YOUR STAY

Day 1 – On our way to the hotel we visit Tonbridge, a market town since the Middle Ages. Tucked in beside the River Medway you’ll find
the magnificent 11th Century Tonbridge Castle, Kent’s finest example of a motte-and-bailey gatehouse. Later, we will continue to our hotel
in style.


Day 2 – After breakfast don your victory curls and red lipstick as we head to the vintage festival at Chatham Historic Dockyard! Step back in time and prepare to be wowed with the variety of live performances during the day and enjoy a selection of old favourites and class 40’s songs.


Day 3 – Step back in time as we visit Kent Life, an English open-air museum and home to the only working coal fired Oast house in Britain.Explore the collection of historic buildings, meet the colourful characters that lived and worked here and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the gardens. Discover what herbs you would find in a traditional farm kitchen garden. After some free time, we will return home to the East Midlands.
