Belfast: The Legend of the Titanic & the Giants Causeway


Follow the extraordinary story of the largest moving object ever built by man – the Titanic – with a walk around the Titanic Experience, docks and pumphouse, which uses original material alongside vintage photographs, heart-wrenching recordings and news reels to bring the story back to life.

Day 1 – Today we travel to our four-star hotel near Belfast.

Day 2 – After breakfast we will be met by an experienced, local guide for a tour of Belfast – a great way to discover the history, the people and the stories that helped shape this remarkable city. During our tour we will explore iconic landmarks such as the City Hall and Peace Wall, as well as the Cathedral Quarter and the Albert Clock. Later this afternoon you can enjoy the rest of the day in your own time, perhaps re-visit some of your favourite landmarks! Alternatively, you can join us for an optional excursion to the spectacular Giant’s Causeway*.

*Giant's Causeway £15 per person – The Giant's Causeway is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, that has been attracting visitors for centuries! Steeped in myth and legend it was recently awarded the UKs Best Heritage Attraction at the British Tourism Awards. Admission includes entrance to the Visitor Centre.

Day 3 – Begin the day at Titanic Belfast, built on the site where the Titanic was originally built over 100 years ago. Explore eight galleries set over six storeys which vividly retrace the ship’s story from creation to its tragic sinking and rediscovery. Afterwards we visit the Titanic Dock & Pump House, this authentic landmark provides visitors with the story of the docks and recreates the stories of the carpenters, fitters, plumbers and the apprentices who made the Titanic tick, before you descend 44 feet to the bottom of the dry dock where the Titanic last sat on the ground.

Day 4 – We retrace our footsteps home.
