During Your Stay
Day 1 – Sit back and relax as we take you to Moffat, an attractive town, a coaching stop and a Conservation Area with a rich heritage and history. Perhaps visit the Moffat Museum and discover the story of this fascinating small town. After some free time we continue to our gorgeous hotel in the pretty town of Pitlochry. On arrival enjoy welcome drinks.
Day 2 – We’ll begin our day with a scenic drive through Cairngorms National Park – twice the size of the Lake District – the Cairngorms National Park has more mountains, forest paths, rivers, lochs, and wildlife hotspots than you can possibly imagine! Travelling to Aviemore, here we have arranged a journey on the CairnGorm Funicular Mountain Railway – the UK’s highest Funicular Railway. This unique experience climbs 460m through the Cairngorm ski area to the Ptarmigan Top Station.
Day 3 – Enjoy free time in Pitlochry, one of Scotland’s most beautiful and vibrant destinations. Nestled amongst the stunning scenery of Highland Perthshire, after a relaxing morning perhaps enjoy a leisurely walk into town to explore the various cafés, restaurants and gift shops.
Day 4 – After breakfast we visit Stirling for free time. Explore the royal history at Stirling Castle and visit the National Wallace Monument, which commemorates the life of Sir William Wallace.
Day 5 – This morning we visit Branklyn Gardens, cared for by the National Trust for Scotland. Discover this enchanting 2‐acre hillside garden, created in the 1920s. A haven of peace and tranquillity it contains a wonderful collection of rare species, exotic plants and curious cultivars for you to spot. Afterwards, we take you the short distance to Perth. Beautifully situated on the banks of the River Tay, Perth boasts plenty of ancient monuments, bustling weekend markets and stylish shopping centres.
Day 6 – After breakfast we visit the Kelpies, the world’s largest equine sculptures. Here we have
arranged a walking tour, which explains the vision of Andy Scott and tells the story of the real life working horses and the local history of the area. Afterwards, we continue our journey home.
