Day 2 – After a leisurely morning we journey over the Clachan Bridge, popularly known as ‘The Bridge Over the Atlantic’ to Seil Island. Here, we visit Ellenabeich, the island’s main village, which has featured in several films including Ring of Bright Water. The village’s main attractions are the Gardens of An Carla and the Scottish Slate Islands Heritage Centre which is housed in a little white cottage.
Day 3 – Enjoy Easter Sunday at leisure to explore Oban, the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’. For stunning views head to ‘McCraig’s Tower’, this colosseum lookalike stands proudly above the town and provides spectacular views.
Day 4 – This morning we travel by ferry to the beautiful Isle of Mull. For a scenic drive past Glen More and Loch Scridain, then to Fionnphort where we catch a foot passenger ferry over to the unique island of Iona. Iona is only 3 miles long, but is steeped in magnificent Scottish history which you can explore in Iona Abbey. The small graveyard next to the abbey is also thought to be the final resting place of the 11th century King Macbeth!
