Day 3 – This morning we will visit nearby Belvedere Castle & Gardens, this stately house boasts a magnificent 160‐acre lakeside estate alongside an 18th century Georgian villa and a Victorian walled garden. The afternoon is spent at your leisure ‐ maybe make use of the discounted spa treatments that are available at the hotel.
Day 4 – After a leisurely morning we head to the Castletown House and Gardens, Ireland’s first and largest Palladian style estate built between 1722 and 1729 for William Connolly, speaker of the Irish House of Commons and the wealthiest commoner in Ireland. Today you can explore the beautiful 18th century parklands, with river walks, a temple and the remains of a bathing house.

Here, you can visit the Athlone Castle, a major attraction that features a Visitor Centre and the Luan Art Gallery. Perhaps visit the Galway City Museum. Overlooking the Spanish Arch, this modern, spacious building is home to a fabulous collection of Galway’s history and heritage.
