DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We travel to our base for the next week in Scarborough.
Day 2 – Enjoy all the fun of the seaside in our resort today. Immerse yourself in the town’s history at Scarborough castle or head down to the seafront and enjoy the traditional amusement arcades, ice cream parlours and beach huts.
Day 3 – After breakfast we visit Whitby, one of the northeast’s best-loved seaside towns. Whether you want to enjoy the traditional seaside amusements, fish and chips, ice cream or watch the brightly coloured vessels passing by then this is the perfect destination for you.
Day 4 – Our first stop today is at Flamborough Head, one of the Yorkshire coast’s most dramatic locations. There will be a quick opportunity for you to take a picture of the Flamborough Lighthouse – the oldest complete lighthouse in the world – before we continue to bright and breezy Bridlington, a resort blessed with sandy beaches, award-winning promenades and an historic harbour. Bridlington is a hidden seaside gem awash with traditional entertainment for you to enjoy.
Day 5 – Free time in Scarborough today. Perhaps wander down to Peasholm Park Island, an oriental themed park has a lot more to offer than just beautiful gardens. Or why not stroll the promenade, hike to the Old Town, and enjoy spectacular views from the headland?
Day 6 – This morning we head to Robin Hood’s Bay – probably one of the most photographed locations in the world – for a couple of hours free time. While you’re here it’s well worth visiting the mosaic that runs along the wall overlooking the sea. Following a timeline of events in Robin Hood’s Bay from the Jurassic period to present day, including smuggling, shipwrecks, fishing and wildlife.
Day 7 – Today there will be another day of leisure, doing as much or as little as your heart desires.
Day 8 – We bid a fond farewell to our hosts and return home.
