Discover Scotland's magnificent autumnal colours of gold, yellows and browns on this extraordinary seasonal break to Perthshire.
Day 1 (D)
Following pick-ups, we travel north, stopping in the historic Cumbrian market town of Penrith before arriving at our hotel in Blairgowrie.
Day 2 (B, D)
We head to St Andrews, Scotland's world-famous home of golf and known for its historic university, where Prince William and Kate Middleton first met. After some free time to wander its medieval streets, gorgeous traditional buildings and plenty of spots for lunch, we cross the Tay Bridge to the waterfront city of Dundee. This coastal city is now well-known thanks to the brilliant V&A Museum and we have included admission for you today. Here, you can celebrate Scotland's design heritage with over three hundred unique exhibits to explore.
Day 3 (B, D)
With a leisurely start today, our first visit is to Glamis Castle, the legendary setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth, the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and the birthplace of Princess Margaret. Enjoy admission into this castle steeped in history where each room tells its own story. Once you've finished exploring inside, head out to the beautiful gardens soaked in the golden colours of autumn. After dinner at the hotel this evening, we re-board our coach and visit the award-winning Enchanted Forest. Set your imagination alight with dazzling visuals and innovative design, accompanied by stirring music, while you explore the stunning woodland setting; it's a spectacle like no other.
Day 4 (B, D)
After breakfast today, enjoy a free day to enjoy Blairgowrie, one of the largest towns in Perthshire. Sitting on the banks of the River Ericht and lying at the foot of the Grampian Mountains, the town has a selection of woollen mill outlets, pleasant cafés, coffee shops and parks to explore.
Day 5 (B)
We start our day with a visit to the award-winning Glenturret distillery for a tour and tasting! This tour will take you through the traditional art of making Glenturret Single Malt Whisky using hand-operated, time-honoured methods before enjoying a tipple from the distillery's exceptional whisky range. Afterwards, we continue our journey home.
B=Breakfast, D=Dinner
