We are looking for a banksman that will be responsible for directing the movement of vehicles Cleaning & fuelling within the yard area. You will report into our operations department.
About the Role
We are looking for a full-time banksman to ensure that all vehicles are moved safely within the yard area adhering to all health & safety policies. Your responsibilities will include:
Clearly directing vehicles around the yard and workshop areas.
Fuelling all vehicles to ensure ready for departures
Ensuring coaches are externally washed.
Minimise the amounts of reversing where possible and be aware of the dangers caused when reversing.
Use practical techniques and agreed systems of signalling and hand signals to assist drivers and operatives in all manoeuvres
Be visible to drivers at all times whilst directing vehicles.
Stand in a safe place, from which to guide all vehicles without being in the way
Keep traffic areas free of pedestrians
Be fully compliant with the PPE requirement of the site
Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers and contractor that visit the site
Report any near miss incidents involving vehicle movement in the yard to the shift supervisors and or Management.
Comply with all Health & Safety, HR and environmental policies and procedure.

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Traffic Officer in our Operations Team who will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operation to drive our workforce to maintain a high standard of customer service. Key responsibilities include delivering the operational strategy delivery of the Groups, day hire, contracts, tours, National express, feeders operational paperwork with uploading our duty boards and loading charts. You will be responsible for the allocation of equipment to our workforce and the control of stock. Looking at timekeeping absents records and allocation of work ensures we are organised with structured handovers.

£26,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Shift pattern Monday to Friday 08.30am-17.00pm
