Head of Group Service Delivery

 

As Head of Group Service Delivery, you will be working in partnership with our Senior Management team and reporting directly to the Board of Directors, we are seeking an experienced manager to overseeing key company accounts and to ensure consistent quality customer-focused service is always maintained. Experience in an operational bus and coach management role is vital and you will hold a National/International CPC and a PCV licence and hold an in-depth knowledge of the PCV industry statutory and legal regulations.

 

Your responsibilities will include but are not exclusive to:

  • Ensure transport operations meet performance and safety targets.

  • Ensure we meet all service delivery requirements that are expected by all our clients.

  • Oversee activities related to organising, dispatching, routing and tracking vehicles and coordinate to optimise performance and profit.

  • Liaise with key personnel of external contractors to monitor adherence to Service Level

  • Agreements and take appropriate measures to continually improve service delivery.

  • Write clear reports and present options and recommendations to clients and the board.

  • Supervise employee training.

  • Monitor service delivery to ensure staff members comply with administrative procedures, health & safety, employment contracts and government regulations.

  • Participate in Driver Committee negotiations and settlements of grievances.

  • Monitor spending to ensure expenses are consistent with approved budgets and analyse expendi­ture to develop plans, policies, and budgets for improving profits and services.

  • Other tasks given on an ad hoc basis.

 

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • National & International CPC (passenger transport) qualification.

  • Hold a PCV licence.

  • Hold an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the PCV industry and the statutory and legal regulations involved.

  • Computer literate – with experience of word, excel and outlook.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • To work efficiently to tight deadlines

Shunter/Fueller – Nights

 

We are looking for a shunter that will be responsible for directing the movement of vehicles, cleaning & fuelling within the yard area. You will report into our Engineering/operations department.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time shunter to ensure that all vehicles are moved safely within the yard area adhering to all health & safety policies. Your responsibilities will include:

Clearly directing vehicles around the yard and workshop areas.

Fuelling all vehicles to ensure ready for departures.

Ensuring coaches are externally washed.

Minimise the amounts of reversing where possible and be aware of the dangers caused when reversing.

Use practical techniques and agreed systems of signalling and hand signals to assist drivers and operatives in all manoeuvres.

Be always visible to drivers whilst directing vehicles.

Stand in a safe place, from which to guide all vehicles without being in the way.

Keep traffic areas free of pedestrians.

Be fully compliant with the PPE requirement of the site.

Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers and contractor that visit the site.

Report any near miss incidents involving vehicle movement in the yard to the shift supervisors and or Management.

Comply with all Health & Safety, HR and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with short and long-term planning with excellent attention to detail

  • Quality focus with drive to work in a team and individually at all levels with clear communication.

  • Desire to work in an exciting driven team to lead improvement with rapid change, adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.

  • Current FULL Driving Licence held.

  • High organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise workloads which continually change.
