The Carnival ’Karneval’ is one of the most celebrated events in Germany! In Rhineland, the carnivals are especially important and today it is a time of wonderful celebration where hundreds of people come together in festivity. Held each year the week before Lent the streets of Rhineland are transformed into an array of bright, vibrant colours and marvellous costumes, wonderful music echoes from the streets as crowds join together wearing spirited costumes and dancing.
Where better to learn about the UK’s Industrial revolution than at its birthplace! On this break, we include visits to Shrewsbury, Ludlow, RAF Cosford Museum and the unique Ironbridge Gorge, once described as the “most extraordinary districts in the world” as well as entry into Blists Hill Victorian Village.
