Christmas in the Peak District

BUXTON

(FULL DAY): Buxton, home of Buxton Water, is a thermal spa town nestled in the centre of the beautiful Peak District and the UK’s oldest National Park. Home to stunning ornamental gardens and world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture, you will also discover a wealth of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, natural wonders such as Poole’s Cavern, relaxing spas and attractions such as Buxton Opera House - where we have included tickets to the matinee performance of the pantomime (Oh, yes we have)! Tonight, there will be an evening of entertainment after dinner, and for anyone who wishes to attend Midnight Mass at the local church, mulled wine and mince pies will be waiting for you on your return.

CHRISTMAS DAY

(FULL DAY): Celebrate Christmas Day in the warmth and comfort of our hotel, surrounded by friends, old and new. After a hearty full English breakfast, you may wish to take a refreshing stroll out for some fresh air before a traditional Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings. Tea and Christmas cake will be served during the Queen's Speech and later a light buffet will precede another evening of joyful entertainment!

SCENIC DRIVE AROUND

THE PEAK DISTRICT & BAKEWELL (FULL DAY): The Peak District is one of the UK's most visited national parks, after breakfast you can sit back and relax as our experienced driver takes you on a scenic drive to Bakewell, perhaps best known for its unique and delicious Pudding, Bakewell is idyllically situated on the banks of the river Wye, and is the biggest town in the Peak District National Park! Later, we return to the hotel for a farewell dinner and a final evening of entertainment amongst friends.
