Free time in Amsterdam

Day 1

We start with a local departure by coach before making our way to the North Sea port for our overnight sailings. Comfortable ensuite cabins & an array of entertainment are included onboard to begin your holiday in style.

Day 2

After an included breakfast onboard, we disembark the ship and travel to the unique town of Delft. This University City is famous for its hand-painted blue and white pottery and historic downtown area. Our next stop is the historic city of Gouda, famed for its cheeses and stroopwafels, before continuing to our hotel on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

Day 3

Discover Amsterdam's canal-woven core with atmospheric narrow lanes, museums, attractions, quirky shops, and eateries today. Perhaps hop onto a small canal boat and see this mesmerizing city from its waterways, jumping off at some must-see attractions along the way, including the Vincent van Gogh Museum - where you progress floor by floor from the artist's initial sketches to view his magnificent complete works (not included).

Day 4

Explore traditional Holland on today's excursions, first with a trip to a local cheese farm and clog maker. Next, we visit the handsome harbour of Volendam, Holland's best-known fishing village, home to charming Dutch ships and local history museums. Our final stop is the beautifully preserved Zaanse Schans. Located just north of Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans offers a perfectly preserved glimpse into eighteenth-century Dutch life with authentic wooden houses, windmills, shops and museums. After some free time, we return to board our overnight ferry with comfortable cabins and a host of facilities to enjoy as we sail into the night!

Day 5

Arriving back on British soil after breakfast onboard, we retrace our footsteps home.
