YORK

(EN ROUTE) - We travel to York for free time in a beautifully preserved medieval city. Whether you want to take in the majesty of the iconic York Minster or discover the city's grisly past at the York Dungeon, you can't fail to be amazed by York.

NORTHUBRIAN COAST

BAMBURGH, ALNWICK & HOLY ISLE (OPTIONAL FULL DAY) - Enjoy a day at leisure, or why not join us on our optional visit to explore the Northumbrian coast? We first travel to the beautiful coastal town of Bamburgh. Set in the heart of Northumberland, which is most famous for its striking castle and Northumberland's finest sausage, 'The Bamburgh Banger'! We also visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (tide dependent). Lying just off the Northumberland Coast, Holy Island is a picturesque, unspoilt village cut off twice daily from the rest of the world by fast-moving tides. We return via a short stop in the market town of Alnwick, whose iconic castle has been used to film Harry Potter & Downton Abbey.

SEAHAM

(HALF DAY) - This morning, we take you on a journey along the Durham Heritage Coast - one of the finest coastlines in England - as we make our way to the lively harbour town of Seaham. Here, we suggest visiting the Seaham Harbour Marina or perhaps grabbing an ice cream along the coast, enjoying breathtaking views. We return to the hotel for the afternoon at leisure.

DURHAM

(HALF DAY) - After your morning at leisure, we visit Durham for free time this afternoon. In this "perfect little city", you can shop for gourmet treats and locally produced food or find a charming café and watch the world go by.
