Free time in Salford Quays

Day 1

We drive to Salford Quays, where we’ll visit the Imperial War Museum North. This unique purpose-built space is home to an award-winning collection of exhibits, including the field gun that fired the opening British round of World War I and steelwork retrieved from the New York World Trade Centre. Afterwards, why not visit the nearby eateries and shops?

Day 2

Following breakfast, we travel to RHS Bridgewater. Rising from the former grounds of Worsley New Hall, this hundred-acre site is being transformed into one of the country’s foremost gardens. Mid-afternoon, we begin the homeward journey.
