SATURDAY
Enjoy a leisurely journey to our hotel in the Lake District.
SUNDAY
After breakfast we visit Bowness-on-Windermere, home to England's largest natural lake. From the shores of the lake you can hire a boat, or take a cruise (not included). Enjoy a walk along Orrest Head, a popular walk or visit the wonderful World of Beatrix Potter.
MONDAY
Early this afternoon a sea voyage takes us to Douglas, the main town and capital of the Isle of Man, and our base for the next leg chapter of our holiday!
TUESDAY
Enjoy free time in Douglas where you may be taken back to a seaside resort from days gone by. Be sure to visit the Manx Museum with its treasure of Viking gold, stroll the pretty promenade, perhaps with an ice cream in hand, and take a horse drawn carriage ride.
WEDNESDAY
Situated on the east coast, today we will visit Laxey. Home to the world's largest working waterwheel, Lady Isabella, which used to pump water out of the mines. We also visit Ramsey, the second largest town on the Island. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the North Barrule Hills, Ramsey boasts an impressive working harbour and one of the most impressive recreational spaces on the Isle of Man.
THURSDAY
Today there will be another day at leisure, or perhaps join us for an optional excursion visiting Castletown, the ancient capital of the island made up of small winding streets, picturesque fishing cottages along the harbour and a Viking castle that towers over the centre of the town. In the afternoon we continue to the pretty little harbour village of Port St Mary & the popular resort of Port Erin, before returning to our hotel.
FRIDAY
After an early breakfast we bid a fond farewell to the Isle of Man and head for home.
