From here, we continue onto Sandringham, the much-loved country retreat of the Royal Family. Your admission into this stunning estate includes access to the house with a full multi-media tour, magnificent gardens and the transport museum.
HUNSTANTON
(FREE DAY) - The elegant resort of Hunstanton, or 'Hunston' as it's known locally, is renowned for its unique striped cliffs and magnificent sunsets. The seaside town began as a purpose-built resort in 1846 and has retained its splendid Victorian charm and character. From the excellent beach to the tranquil retreat of the Esplanade Gardens, there is something for everyone to enjoy today!
CROMER & SHERINGHAM
(FULL DAY) - Visit the neighbouring coastal resorts of Cromer and Sheringham. With a seafront townscape that rises from the Promenade and a Pier, Cromer is a traditional seaside resort home to a lifeboat station and Pavilion Theatre. Sheringham is home to an award-winning beach, a heritage steam railway and fantastic coastal walks.
BURNHAM MARKET
(HALF DAY) - Regarded as the area's loveliest village Burham Market is a popular haunt of the rich and royalty, as evidenced by the "By Royal Appointment" signs above many of the local independent shops.
WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA
& THE WELLS & WALSINGHAM LIGHT RAILWAY (FULL DAY) - We visit the charming seaside resort of Wells-next-the-Sea, one of the loveliest towns on the North Norfolk Coast, with a rich fishing history, Wells is steeped in charm. Also included is a journey on the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, the world's smallest public railway, for a nostalgic trip through the beautiful countryside to Walsingham. One of the most extraordinary villages in the British Isles, Walsingham is steeped in history with its collection of rare half-timbered medieval buildings. It has been considered a site of holy pilgrimage for over a century.
Based within a manor house dating back to 1648, the Caley Hall Hotel is only a short walk from the golden sands of Hunstanton beach. Dine in the restaurant, which was from the hall's old stables. You'll find spaces and rooms decorated with traditional furnishing. Each also has a TV and facilities for making tea and coffee.
