DAY 1

Today we make our way to Pitlochry and stay at the Hydro Hotel.




DAY 2.

A leisurely morning before we head to Balmoral castle this afternoon with entry into the grounds, gardens, exhibitions and gift shop as well as the largest room in the castle, the Ballroom. En-route back to the hotel, we stop briefly in the picturesque village of Braemar, where we have time to explore at leisure.

DAY 3.

This morning we enjoy a scenic excursion exploring Loch Tummel with a visit to Queen's View on the eastern edge, Highland Perthshire's most iconic view said to have been named after Queen Victoria following her visit in 1866. Enjoy stunning views from the visitor centre of the loch and beyond to the iconic Schiehallion. This is one of the most photographed areas in Scotland - don't forget your camera! We return back to the hotel for the afternoon at leisure.

DAY 4.

Full day. We travel to Fort William (morning departure) where we join the Jacobite Steam Railway to Mallaig. This section of the West Highland Line crosses the 100ft-high Glenfinnan Viaduct used in the Harry Potter film sequences featuring the Hogwarts Express. After free time in Mallaig we make our way back to the hotel.

DAY 5.

After breakfast, we board the coach to go home.
