ESSEX SUNSHINE COAST
(FULL DAY): Clacton-on-Sea is the largest town on the Essex Sunshine Coast, home to a pleasure pier, arcades, and delightful seafront walks. We also visit Britain's oldest town - Colchester. This historic town was the former capital of Roman Britain and has a rich history dating back over 2,000 years along with medieval lanes and alleyways and a thriving town centre.
WESTCLIFF-ON-SEA
(FULL DAY): Westcliff-on-Sea is a seaside suburb neighbouring Southend-on-Sea. Perhaps make your way along Westcliff Gardens and enjoy the beautiful views across the Thames Estuary, full of unique species of migrating birds, to Southend town centre where you can take a stroll along the world's longest pleasure pier.
ESSEX COUNTRY
VILLAGES (FULL DAY): Explore some of the rural villages and historic towns of the county including Coggleshall, famous for its lace making, Layer Marney for its Tudor tower and Tiptree for its jams and cream teas. We also visit Chelmsford, the county town of Essex with a magnificent cathedral.
