Day 3
Hop on board for a scenic journey along the Swiss shores of Lake Constance towards the German city of Konstanz, an old imperial citadel. Today's highlight is a visit to the garden island of Mainau. Blessed with a mild climate, the island is carefully designed and maintained with tulips, rhododendrons, scented roses and colourful dahlias, all waiting to be explored. Afterwards, we board a ferry for Lindau, the island city. Located at the foot of the Alps, Lindau is a historic island home to a magnificent harbour, medieval architecture and stunning lake views. Our return journey takes us through Bregenz, beautifully situated with views of Lake Constance's eastern shores.
Day 4
Blessed with cobblestoned streets, narrow passages and beautiful facades, explore your quaint resort of Feldkirch in your own time today. Discover the medieval Old Town, one of the most beautiful in the region and marvel at storied old buildings, charming fountains, the historic Schattenburg castle or a variety of walks leading to the gloriously green surroundings and wildlife park. Please note - admissions to attractions are not included today.
Day 5
Our day begins with a visit to Tiefencastel, where we board the Rhaetian Railway. Following the same path as the world-famous Glacier Express and Bernina Express, this line forms the heart of a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and is regarded as one of the world's most spectacular routes. After travelling through helical tunnels and over majestic viaducts on this picturesque journey, we arrive in St Moritz, the metropolis of the Alps. Explore this popular ski resort that has twice hosted the Winter Olympics before we return back by coach, passing over the Julier Pass and Via Mala, the greatest gorge in the eastern Alps.
Day 6
After breakfast, we will be gifted a complimentary souvenir from the hotel before we retrace our footsteps back through Europe, returning to our overnight hotel.
