Day 1
We travel through Europe, staying at an overnight hotel tonight.
Day 2
We then continue to our main hotel for 6 nights HB with a welcome drink on arrival
Day 3
We begin our day with a nostalgic journey on the Ziller Valley Steam Train, one of Austria's most famous railways. This scenic journey takes us past scenes of outstanding natural beauty scenes as we climb the Ziller Valley. Onboard, enjoy schnapps and traditional folk music before arriving in Mayrhofen, a renowned ski resort. Here, you'll have time to explore before a trip to the medieval town of Rattenberg. Known for a long history of glassblowing, here you'll visit the glass showrooms and see the artisans working for yourself.
Day 4
There's plenty in-store today. Starting at the world-famous Swarovski Crystal World, experience an awe-inspiring collection of fantastical crystals and contemporary art. Afterwards, we continue to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region, for a guided tour around the historic old town; here, you'll see its most famous landmark, the Golden Roof and the Imperial Palace. Later, we indulge in an evening of traditional Tyrolean folklore, which promises a great evening of entertainment, fun and delicious local cuisine!
Day 5
This morning, visit a local cheese farm and Tyrolean firewater distillery with a guided tour. Afterwards, live like a local and join in with the festivities of the Almabtrieb! The whole community gives thanks for the safe return of their animals from the high mountain pastures with brass bands, traditional lederhosen and local delicacies - this is not to be missed!
Day 6
Take a day to enjoy your resort's facilities. Why not hop on a local bus to nearby Kitzbühel, a city of the rich and famous known for its stylish ski scene?
Day 7
Our final full day begins with a visit to romantic Tratzberg Castle.
Enjoy a guided tour and learn the history of this beautiful Renaissance castle, lovingly restored to its sixteenth-century best. Next, we visit the breathtaking Lake Achensee, known for its stunning emerald-green waters. Feel the fresh breeze and soak in the view with our included lake cruise. This incredible experience lets you truly relax and unwind before we return to our hotel for a Tyrolean speciality dinner this evening!
Day 8
Following our captivating stay, we return to our overnight hotel.
Day 9
We retrace our footsteps home.
