About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Travel Consultant to effectively sell our internal coach holidays and worldwide holidays. This will include face to face and telephone customer service maximising sales within the branch and exceeding all targets. The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Selling travel products and ancillary services to customers, for coaching holidays and leading travel operators
  • Liaising with all tour operators to secure bookings.
  • Cash handling and housekeeping duties
  • Maintaining accurate customer records while ensuring all data protection and GDPR is adhered
  • Using and improving computerised internal systems
  • Branch and business development promotion
  • Keeping the branch point of sale up to date in line with company direction with guidance from the Branch Manager.
  • Play an integral part to effective running of the branch.
  • Follow all company policies.
  • Work consistently with all employees within the branch.
  • Maximising sales within the branch to meet all sales targets, by establishing customer requirements and booking the perfect holiday for the customer
  • Excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone.
  • Continually improve and portray your product knowledge to give the best service to every customer.
  • To drive sales and be pro-active

  • Computer literate – with experience of word, excel and outlook

We are looking for an Academic Trainer to join our Training team. You will work in partnership with our Academy Trainer and ensure we are legal and compliant with the training we deliver on site to our Coach Drivers in the class room.

About the Role

We are looking for a full time Academic Trainer to lead and deliver our well structured and comprehensive class room training to our Coach drivers. With an ever changing workforce and updates in legislations this means compliance deadlines must be adhered to. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of Academic training in a class room-based environment including practical elements of training on our modern fleet of coaches.
  • Deliver and evaluate on road driver training in accordance with National Express 8.4 compliance.
  • Ensuring our training meets the current regulations with working in partnership with The Guild of Coach Operators.
  • Analysis of the training and designing our strategy with updates to the curriculum and materials
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of training delivery; booking of rooms, logging courses, printing materials etc.
  • Self audit your own training plans to ensure compliance with timescales met to ensure our drivers can deliver the highest level of customer service to our clients continually.
  • Coach and support our management team in facilitating the management of training processes for their teams in line with our strategy.
  • Audit, coach and mentor drivers out on the road to ensure safe and professional driving.
  • Audit, coach and mentor drivers in all aspects of industry training working in partnership with 3rd partner companies.
  • Act as the link in the centre of expertise for Talent and organisational development and partner with our HR Team to develop personnel.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A motivated and driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A Qualified Trainer with proven certification who is committed to drive improvements with the ability to support all levels of colleagues to meet the required standards.
  • The knowledge to be able to investigate, identify and selectively recommend internal and external best practice to promote continuous development.
  • High organisational skills with good IT knowledge with Word, Excel and Powerpoint are important to be conformant
  • Previous experience in working in a training role, ideally incorporating a knowledge of the Coach industry environment
  • Working knowledge of face to face individual and group training practices
  • Ability to demonstrate confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or personal training and development needs
  • To deliver refresher training and also new modules to our Drivers
  • PCV Driving Licence - Essential

 

Salary and benefits

  • Competitive Salary dependent on experience. Monday to Friday 0900-1730 with 30 minutes break a total of 40 hours per week but need to be flexible as may change due to occupational requirements.
