Day 1 – After our departure we visit Durham home to one of the most recognisable landmarks in the UK: Durham Cathedral. After some free time, we enjoy a short photo stop at the Angel of the North before continuing to our hotel.

Day 2 – Today we travel to Alnwick Castle & Gardens, where we have included entrance. Home to the Duke of Northumberland’s family; the Percy’s for over 700 years, Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle in England and has a rich history brimming with drama, intrigue, and starring roles –  Alnwick Castle has featured as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films, and as the magnificent Brancaster Castle in Downton’s Abbey’s 2016 Christmas special.  

Day 3 – After a relaxing morning in the comfort of the hotel, this afternoon we visit nearby Hexham,

Here we have arranged a guided tour of Hexham Abbey, located in the heart of the town, Hexham Abbey was founded by the Northumbrian saint and bishop Wilfrid in 674. 

Day 4 – Today we enjoy a full day excursion around the Northumbria Coast – via our coach! We drive to Berwick-Upon-Tweed first before enjoying a coffee stop at the Barn at Beal. This converted 19th century barn offers fantastic panorama views overlooking the Holy Island. Afterwards we drive to Bamburgh for free time, perhaps visit Bamburgh Castle one of the UK’s most iconic castles. Today we also enjoy a stop at the large village of Seahouses, home to the best fish and chips in the country.

Day 5 – After breakfast we take you to the Beamish museum, the world famous open-air museum which re-creates the story of life in North East England during the 1820s.
