The Rhine in Flames festival is Germany’s oldest and largest fireworks spectacular that takes place along the most scenic stretch of the Rhine. Experience the majestic River Rhine burst into mesmerizing colors as beautifully illuminated boats sail out into the river and firework displays light up the river on this truly mesmerising trip!

Day 1 – We travel to our hotel, on arrival the Wagner Family welcome us with a Schnapps.

Day 2 – After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Boppard, where you can enjoy a little free time in this UNESCO World Heritage Site before we return to the hotel for an early dinner. Later, we travel to Bonn for the magnificent Rhine in Flames festival!

Day 3 – Today enjoy a day at leisure in the charming resort of Kamp Bornhofen. This friendly tourist community is well known throughout Germany for its famous pilgrimage church and monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The area also offers traditional Rhenish wine taverns and restaurants in a romantic surrounding.

Day 4 – We begin today in the city of Frankfurt, this 2,000-year-old city has much to offer including; the Main river, a famous opera house and a pedestrian shopping street. After a little free time to explore, this afternoon we visit Wiesbaden. Tucked in a valley between the Rhine River and the Taunus Mountains, Wiesbaden is a spa city dating bate to the Romans.

Day 5 – Enjoy another day at leisure, or alternatively join us for an optional excursion to Koblenz with admission to the glass bottom Cable Car which connects the two banks of the river and goes right up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Europe’s second largest preserved fortress (admission to the fortress included)!  After visiting the fortress you can join us for an afternoon sightseeing cruise on the river Rhine.

Day 6 – After breakfast we take you to the traditional German town of Cochem. Located in one of the most romantic parts of the Moselle Valley and situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are few towns in Germnay that can match the sheer charm and beauty of Cochem. This afternoon we visit Bernkastel Kues, this poplar destination is full of history and culture for you to explore before we return to the hotel later today.

Day 7 – We return home.
