The Postal Museum and Mail Rail are London’s newest attractions. Showcasing remarkable history and never-before told stories from the past five centuries of communications, with the help of interactive galleries and an extraordinary collection of postal history you can. On this short break we also have the unique opportunity to journey back in time as we ride the hidden tunnels of the Mail Rail, London’s secret 100 year old Post Office Railway.

Day 1 – Our first stop today is Cambridge, where we will enjoy a couple of hours free time before continuing to the hotel for tonight’s evening meal. Renowned for its tradition and exquisite architecture, Cambridge is a university town extraordinaire! Its tightly packed core means you can easily wander through ancient colleges, picturesque river banks and high street shops.

Day 2 – Today we visit the Postal Museum in London, much more than just a museum your visit will include a journey on the ‘Mail Rail’ – where you will ride through a section of unused track experiencing the Mail Rail in motion! Afterwards explore the incredible collection spanning over 500 years of groundbreaking postal history, covering everything from design to quirky technology, to the intimacy of personal letters.

Day 3 – After breakfast we travel to St Albans for free time. The city’s colourful history can be seen in the Roman remains and the beautiful medieval architecture dusted over the city. With a wide range of independent shops and café it’s the perfect place to grab a cup of tea and watch the world pass you by before we continue our journey home.
