Day 1
After our departures, we travel to our hotel in Eastbourne with leisurely stops along the way.
DDay 2
Today, we visit one of the largest seaside towns on the south coast, Worthing, a great destination for shopping, dining and seaside strolls, home to a stunning seafront and a picturesque pier. We return via a stop in the county town of Lewes, nestled amongst the beautiful South Downs and known for its medieval streets, old English churches, and sixteenth-century castle.
B, DDay 3
This morning, we take a scenic drive by the dramatic Beachy Head and through the Cuckmere Valley enroute to Brighton, another popular seaside resort busting with attractions, such as the extravagant pavilion and beautiful pebbled beach. The historic Lanes are a quirky labyrinth of streets filled with intriguing shops and plenty of places to eat. We return to Eastbourne for some free time this afternoon - take a stroll along the wide promenade enjoying the fresh, crisp air, award-winning sandy beaches and Victorian pier.
B, DDay 4
We enjoy an excursion to Rye on market day, once a medieval citadel and now home to a myriad of art, curiosities and cosy pubs. From here, we continue to ancient Hastings, where the popular seaside attractions sit alongside fascinating history, including the remains of the first castle in England to be built by William the Conqueror. Why not visit the preserved Old Town, home to half-timbered houses and narrow streets, which hail back to its old sea-faring days?
B, DDay 5
We return home today.
