HIGHTLIGHTS OF YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We begin our leisurely journey, travelling through Europe until we reach our overnight hotel.
Day 2 – After an early breakfast we travel to the Hotel Suisse in Marina di Pietrasanta, Italy.
Day 3 – Happy Easter! We’ll spend today in Livorno, a charming city on the west coast of Tuscany. Whilst here, we’ve arranged a walking tour for you to enjoy. Discover the fascinating secrets and wonders of this pretty city as your expert guide takes you around the elegent Quartiere Venezia, the Fortezza Nuova (new fortress), the Church of Saint Catherine and the Piazza Grande, where you can admire the Dome of Livorno. Later this evening a Gala dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 4 – This morning we travel to La Spezia. This port city is the gateway to the Cinque-Terre region, a stretch of century-old seaside villages on a rugged coastline. Here, we’ll board a train and begin our journey to Manarola, situated in the stunning Cinque-Terre, the city shimmers in vibrant colours and exquisite architecture and buildings that cling to steep cliffs. Awash with priceless medieval relics, Manarola is said to be the oldest amongst the Cinque-Terre villages and houses a church of San Lorenzo from 1838. Our next stop via train is enchanting Vernazza, our second village belonging to the Cinque-Terre region. Vernazza is perhaps the crowning jewel among the villages, named as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. It is a traffic free village and is home to two beaches, the Church of Santa Margheria d’Antiochia and the Doria Castle. After a wonderful day, we will return back to the hotel later this afternoon.
Day 5 – Our first destination today is Pisa, home to one of the world’s most famous landmarks, the renowned Leaning Tower. After a photo opportunity and some free time, we continue to the Roman City of Lucca. Surrounded by a medieval wall, you can wander safely through the traffic free alleyways and squares that inspired one of Italy’s greatest composers, Puccini.
Day 6 – After breakfast, we leave our resort and retrace our footsteps back through Continental Europe. Arriving late afternoon at our overnight hotel.
Day 7 – We return back home.
