British Isles Discovery Cruise 2019

12 Days

This cruise around our fabulous, history‐packed islands is a voyage of fascinating, overlooked wonders. Peaceful hills and valleys descending to the sea, river estuaries teeming with wild‐life, bustling fishing harbours and quaint old towns all combine to showcase our great island heritage. Discover some of our more remote offshore islands, highlights of Ireland, and a taste of France on this cruise holiday to remember.

***Gratuities are not included in this fair. We highly recommend that you take advantage of the CMV drinks Packages which include gratuities. Should you prefer not to purchase any drinks packages the cost of gratuities will be £6pppn of pre-booked or £7pppn which will be added on your on-board account during your cruise.
***Shore excursions are not included. It is the passenger's responsibility to arrange these either online (on receipt of their personal account details) or note their interest in shore excursions in the letter they receive from CMV. The cost of these will be added onto the passengers' onborad account and paid onbord the ship.


Day 1 – We travel to London Tilbury where we board the Columbus Cruise Ship.

Day 2 – Amsterdam (Netherlands) – Considered one of Europe’s major art capitals, Amsterdam is home to a number of superb galleries and museums including the famous Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum.
Day 3 – At sea.

Day 4 – Invergordon, Scotland (UK) – Situated on the shores of the deep Cromarty Firth and with a fine natural harbour, Invergordon is a small, yet modern town is a charming coastal gateway to the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

Day 5 – Portree, Isle of Skye (UK) – Charming Portree is the main town on the beautiful Isle of Skye. The impact of Skye’s stunning scenery is spectacular. The soaring peaks of the Cuilins, undulating heather moorland, small lochs and gently flowing streams form a wonderful backdrop.

Day 6 – Tobermory, Isle of Mull (UK) – Tobermory is one of the prettiest ports in Scotland. The picture‐postcard village has a large natural harbour where colourful boats bob on the waves watched over by a rainbow of brightly, painted buildings backed by woodland‐fringed hills.

Day 7 – Dublin (Ireland) – The capital of the Emerald Isle is, with its friendly locals, fascinating history, legendary literary tradition and charming mix of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture, a city of unforgettable character.

Day 8 – Cobh for Cork (Ireland) –Cobh has one of the best natural harbours in the world. Known as Queenstown until 1922, it was the departure point for thousands of Irish emigrants to America and the last port of call of the Titanic.

Day 9 – St Mary’s, Isle of Scilly (UK) – St Mary’s is a delight with white sand beaches, tranquil waters and stunning seascapes.

Day 10 – St Peter Port, Guernsey (UK) – The attractive town is a delight with cobbled streets, steep stairways and alleyways winding their way down between the houses to a picturesque waterfront of grey and white stone buildings.

Day 11 – Honfleur (France) – Over the years many renowned painters and writers have been attracted to pretty Honfleur, which with its narrow, half‐timbered houses, cobblestone streets and charming old harbour set in a sheltered cove off the Seine’s tidal estuary, is simply enchanting. Day 12 – We return home.
