During Your Stay
Day 1 – Travelling across picturesque Europe, later this afternoon we will arrive at our overnight hotel for a one‐night bed and breakfast stay.
Day 2 – After breakfast we continue to the Hotel Royal Palace in Montecatini, Tuscany.
Day 3 – This morning we visit the Roman city of Lucca, surrounded by a medieval wall you can safely explore the traffic free alleyways and squares that inspired one of Italy’s greatest composers – Giacomo Puccini. After some free time, we travel to nearby Pisa. This enchanting city is home to one of the world’s most famous landmarks, the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Day 4 – Enjoy a day at leisure, today there will be a late lunch served at the hotel before the sensational Andrea Bocelli concert later this evening. This year’s performance is called ‘Ali di libertá’ (wings of freedom), and it promises to be a poetic interpretation of that most ancient of human aspirations: flight. Taken from the title of one of the songs from the tenor’s latest album Si, the show draws inspiration from the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci and the desire to overcome earthly limits. The show promises to be a spectacular milti-sensory experience that will reinvent opera by offering the greatest composers, the most beloved arias and the most popular classics, all presented within an innovative format. The beloved Italian tenor will be joined by acclaimed international stars of bel canto.
Day 5 – This afternoon we’ll visit Siena, this historic city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is instantly recognisable from the James Bond film “Quantum of Solace”.
Day 6 – Today you can join us for an optional excursion to Florence – one of Europe’s most culturally and historically significant cities. (additional £15 per person, minimum numbers required – please advise at the time of booking). Florence is a vibrant city nestled among the idyllic green hills of Tuscany, thanks to its relatively small size it retains a sense of intimacy romance, while still offering a remarkable selection of museums, galleries and restaurants which continue to impress even the most regular visitor.
Day 7 – We retrace our footsteps back through Europe to our overnight hotel.
Day 8 – After an early morning start, we continue our journey home.
Please note: If the weather is bad, the concert will take place the next day which means the itinerary will be change to accommodate this.
**To reach Teatro del Silenzio passengers will need to walk approx. 800 metres. The concert will start at approx. 20:30 and will finish at midnight.
