DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We enjoy some free time in Bath. Set in the rolling countryside, Bath is best known for its natural hot springs and 18th century Georgian architecture. The museum, which sits at the site of the original Roman‐era Bath’s includes The Great Bath, statues and a temple for you to explore. Later, we continue to our hotel. This evening the area around our hotel comes alive with live musical entertainment.
Day 2 – This morning we visit Sherborne Castle, built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594 and now managed by the English Heritage, Sherborne Castle reflects a glorious variety of decorative styles from over 400 years of English history. We have arranged a private guided tour, so you can view the magnificent staterooms with nationally important collections of art, furniture and porcelain whilst discovering more about its magnificent and turbulent past. After some free time, we travel to Burrow Farm Gardens where we have arranged a delicious Devon cream tea featuring homemade scones.
Day 3 – Today we enjoy free time in Weymouth. The bustling town centre lie just behind the glorious sandy beach, and close to the bus harbour. Weymouth is one of the easiest seaside resorts to explore on foot, and a great day out is guaranteed.
Day 4 – A morning excursion to Poole. After free time, we take the Sandbanks ferry service across to the Isle of Purbeck and visit the unique village of Corfe Castle. Built almost completely from the local grey Purbeck limestone the village comprises of two main streets and a small collection of shops.
Day 5 – We retrace our footsteps home.
