DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – Enjoy a relaxing journey to our hotel in Sidmouth, with comfort breaks en‐route.
Day 2 – We travel to Exeter, one of the most attractive and historically interesting cities in England. Poplar attractions include; the unique Underground Passages, the magnificent Cathedral, the imposing Roman walls and the award‐winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Later, we head to Tiverton where we have arranged a cream tea at Bickleigh Mill – a Georgian Water Mill.
Day 3 – The lovely seaside town of Sidmouth is nestled beneath the majestic red cliffs and green hills of the glorious Sid Valley. Spend your day enjoying a leisurely walk through beautiful gardens, or pop into the friendly shops.
Day 4 – This morning we visit Weymouth for free time, then drive to the Isle of Portland for a visit to the famous Portland Bill Lighthouse which has been standing majestically for the past one hundred and eleven years. Inside, you can learn about the lighthouse and its keepers and if you manage to climb the 153 steps to the top, you’ll be rewarded with views over Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast.
Day 5 – This morning we visit Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, which Alan Titchmarsh once described as “one of the finest gardens I have ever visited.” Located near Chesil Beach and surrounded by woodland, you can wander through the old kitchen garden before making your way to the valley garden, which has some of the most extensive gunnera plantings in England. We return via West Bay and the vibrant market town of Bridport, both of which are familiar as the location for filming of TV’s Broadchurch.
Day 6 – After a wonderful stay we return home.
