Warners: Lakeside Coastal Village 2020

A great place for a relaxing few days away with a friendly village atmosphere and charming chalets set besides the coast on Hampshire’s Hayling Island. The island is a petite little thing (just four miles long by four miles wide) but, as the saying goes, good things often come in small packages. When you’re ready to explore, you’ll find countryside and coast, shoulder to shoulder, with an appealing mix of open spaces for walks and bike rides and beaches for sand-between-your-toes fun. Back at the hotel the action continues with many activities including bowling, pool, lake fishing and live music and dancing to keep you both on – and off – your toes.

Day 1 – This morning we head to Oxford for a lunch stop. Although most famous for its magnificent university buildings, nowadays the city has a bustling cosmopolitan centre offering a compelling mix of the old and the new, with great shopping opportunities and fine eateries. After some free time, we continue to our Warners Resort.

Day 2 – Enjoy a full day at leisure in our resort. Lakeside Coastal Village is big on bowls but there's loads more to do, from putting to shuffleboard and even casting your rod on the freshly stocked lake. After a morning of activities perhaps visit the leisure club where you can unwind and relax in the sauna and steam room or take a dip in the indoor swimming pool, before enjoying an evening of fantastic food and entertainment.

Day 3 – After breakfast enjoy another day at leisure or join us for our optional excursion to Portsmouth*. Ideally situated on the south coast of England, it’s the UK’s only island city and was the birthplace of Charles Dickens. From a proud naval and maritime heritage, which can be experienced at the historic dockyard where you can tour Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory or Henry VIII’s Mary Rose. The best view of the surrounding area is atop of the Emirates Spinnaker Tower, which rises 170m above the city.

Day 4 – Today you may choose to join us for an optional Visit to Worthing & Chichester**.

Day 5 – We will enjoy a leisurely lunch stop in Winchester, before continuing our journey home.
