Whilst on board we will be treated to a meat and potato pie lunch followed by tea or coffee and mints. Afterwards, we will continue the journey to our hotel.

Day 2 – After breakfast we travel to the picturesque Pendle Heritage Centre. Here we will be joined by Simon Entwistle, our award-winning historian and experienced tour guide. The centre is set in a range of beautifully resorted grade II listed farm buildings and are now home to a walled garden, tearoom, parlour shop, art gallery and a museum. The museum tells the legendary story of the Pendle Witches which resulted in their famous trail in 1612 – and the history of the Bannister family. Afterwards, Simon will accompany us to D. Byrne Wine Shop and Cellar. Established in 1879 its famous wine cellar contains over 1,500 of the world’s finest wines. Later, we will enjoy free time in Clitheroe.

Day 3 – This morning we re-join Simon to visit Samlesbury Hall. Featured in the popular television series ‘Most Haunted,’ today you’ll discover its many secrets and learn all about its local resident spirits, including the legendary White Lady, Dorothy Southworth, who allegedly died of a broken heart. Afterwards, we return home.
