Day 2 – We travel to Giverny. This charming village on the River Seine captured the heart of Claude Monet, one of the most famous painters in history and the founding father of the French Impressionist style. This afternoon we visit Évreux known for its two most important monuments – the Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace. After some free time, we visit Rouen, a gentle stroll along its cobbled streets will take you into the heart of the town, home to the the Halls of Justice and the Gros Horloge (Great Clock). Walk a little further and you will discover the Market Square, most famously where Joan of Arc was executed in 1431.

Day 3 – Join us for an optional excursion to the Palace of Versailles*, one of the most majestic palaces on earth! The Palace has been listed as a world Heritage Site for more than 30‐years and is one of the greatest achievements in French 17th century art. Originally Louis XIII’s old hunting pavilion, it was later transformed and extended by his son, Louis XIV, when he installed the court and government there in 1682. Today, the palace contains 2,300 rooms all equally as magnificent.
