Llangollen horse drawn canal cruise
DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We travel to the medieval city of Chester before continuing to our hotel. Shaped by 2,000 years of history, you can choose to visit the shops in the ‘Rows’, the amazing gothic Cathedral or sit back and relax beside the river.
Day 2 – After breakfast we take you to the little town of Llangollen, here we have arranged a horse drawn canal cruise along the beautiful Llangollen Canal. A great way to start the day, experience for yourself the pace of life in “the olden days” whilst gazing out at one of the most beautiful canals in Britain. We then return to our hotel for an afternoon at leisure.
Day 3 – Following a leisurely breakfast we travel to Oswestry for the remainder of the afternoon. This traditional and friendly market town is home to award-winning markets, both indoor and outdoor as well as an electric mix of independent and quirky antique shops and galleries.
Day 4 – This morning we travel to the seaside town of Barmouth before enjoying a journey on the Bala Lake Railway. This narrow‐gauge steam railway runs alongside Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake), hauled by a historic Welsh steam locomotive, enjoy excellent views of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
Day 5 – We retrace our footsteps home.
