DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We travel to the small coastal town of Looe to enjoy a short sightseeing stop. The quaint, sleepy fishing port has all the rugged charm of the dramatic Cornish coast. Later, we travel to the hotel to enjoy a sherry reception.
Day 2 – One of the largest deep-water harbours in the world, Falmouth is a town steeped in maritime history. After some free time, we return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon and a delicious cream tea.
Day 3 – Following a morning at leisure, this afternoon we enjoy a journey on the Lappa Valley Railway, bound for Santa’s magical Christmas grotto! Our ticket also includes a delicious mince pie and mulled wine served after.
Day 4 – After breakfast we travel to Truro, the administrative capital of Cornwall for free time. Dating back over 800 years, the city’s heritage is as a market town and port and today is Cornwall’s only city. Truro’s most striking feature is the grand cathedral, built at the turn of the century, which continues to dominate the Truro skyline and has some interesting Victorian stained-glass windows. This afternoon we visit Mevagissey where we will spend the remainder of the day, before returning back to the hotel for this evening’s dinner.
Day 5 – Full of festive cheer we return home, with comfort stops along the way.
