DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – Enjoy a leisurely journey to the Penmere Manor Hotel in Falmouth.
Day 2 – This morning we travel to Penzance – famous for its history of pirates! Take a walk by the harbour and look out for St Michael’s Mount – a Medieval castle which stands proudly on a small tidal island. After some free time, we continue to Land’s End – Britain’s most south westerly point.
Day 3 – Today, we have free time to explore Falmouth – a town with a fascinating maritime heritage. The Deep-Water Port is famous for its Oyster restaurants, cafés and small art galleries.
Day 4 – After breakfast we visit the incredible Eden Project, home to the largest indoor rainforest in the world. Look out for the canopy walkway where you can stroll amongst the treetops and keep your eyes peeled for exotic fruits growing in there, including bananas! Next, you’ll find the Mediterranean Biome where you can smell the sweet aromas of herbs in the air and wander along the Liquid Gold path admiring all of the brightly coloured flowers.
Day 5 – Our first stop today is Truro, the UK’s most southerly city. Dominating the skyline is Truro Cathedral, with its impressive gothic towers; in its shadow is a warren of compact streets home to a charming array of independent boutiques, bookshops and cafés. After some free time, we visit St Ives. Perhaps enjoy a short walk along Portminster Beach? If you look out to the bay, you’ll see the wonderful view of Godrevy Lighthouse, which was the inspiration for the Virginia Woolf novel ‘The Lighthouse.’
Day 6 – Taking cherished memories with us, we return home.
