DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We travel to our hotel.
Day 2 – After breakfast we visit Teignmouth, a stunning coastal town with historic Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches and fresh, local food. Later, we travel to Exmouth, one of the oldest and most picturesque seaside resorts in Devon. The town is a gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and has two miles of sandy beach, perfect for an afternoon stroll.
Day 3 – Time to enjoy Torquay at your leisure. The centre contains a pretty harbour lined with cafes, bars and restaurants, while nearby delightful gardens lead to the famous Princess Theatre, and the giant English Riviera Wheel that dominates the skyline.
Day 4 – Experience the award-winning Dartmouth Round Robin tour – simply the best way to explore South Devon! Our day will include a journey on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, a river boat and a bus tour visiting the quaint towns of Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes.
Day 5 – We visit Buckland Abbey. Now owned by the National Trust, Buckland Abbey is a 700-year-old house noted for its connection with Sir Francis Drake. Our next stop is Plymouth, Britain’s ‘Atlantic city’. On Plymouth Hoe Drake played bowls before sailing out to defeat the Spanish Armada. The how is a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the view.
Day 6 – After breakfast we visit the renowned Babbacombe Model Village, home to 4-acres of award-winning gardens showcasing hundreds of model scenes, vehicles and people! Later, we travel to the fishing town of Brixham, star of the TV series ‘Fish Town’. Centered around the harbour and in the heart of England’s Seafood Coast, perhaps find a nice spot where you can watch the boats and enjoy some of the most delicious seafood in England.
Day 7 – Enjoy another day at leisure in Torquay.
Day 8 – We retrace our footsteps home.
