DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – We head to the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, home to some of the richest ancient history in Britain and some of the most stunning architecture in Europe. Later, we continue to Weston-super-Mare.
Day 2 – After breakfast we visit the ancient market town of Glastonbury, home to its famous Tor, beautiful Abbey and a wide range of shops and cafés to explore. We continue for a lunchtime visit to Wells, England’s smallest city boasting a magnificent cathedral and Vicar’s Close, the oldest medieval street in Europe. We return via a drive through the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, Britain’s deepest gorge, unsurprisingly an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Day 3 – Enjoy free time in Weston‐Super‐Mare. This seaside town offers plenty of fish and chip shops, amusements to enjoy or perhaps enjoy a relaxing cup of tea (or coffee) in the beautiful Edwardian‐style tearooms and watch the world pass you by.
Day 4 – This morning we travel to Bishops Lydeard, where we have arranged a journey on the West Somerset Railway – the longest heritage railway in England! Our nostalgic 20-mile journey will take us through the Quantock Hills to Minehead. After some free time in the traditional seaside resort, we visit the medieval village of Dunster before returning to our hotel.
Day 5 – After a relaxing morning we begin our homeward journey.
