The gardens boast an eclectic range of inspirational horticultural styles from traditional rose gardens and herbaceous borders to large sweeping borders of grasses and meadowland. We spend the afternoon at leisure to explore our seaside resort and nearby Southend-on-Sea. Perhaps take the opportunity to enjoy a stroll along Southend Pier, the longest in the world which extends almost a mile and a half into the Thames Estuary.
Day 3 – After a leisurely morning perhaps taking the opportunity to relax in the nearby Southcliffe Gardens enjoying the sea views. This afternoon we visit Beth Chatto Gardens, the world‐renowned gardens created by award‐winning plantswoman Beth Chatto, OBE. Home to 2000 varieties of plants, there are a series of 4 gardens to explore, Screen, Gravel, Woodland and Water.

This afternoon we head to Clacton-on-Sea for where you can enjoy the remainder of the day.
