DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – On our way to our hotel we enjoy a visit to Oxford, the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’, famous for its prestigious universities. With a mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty to do from visiting one of the many historic buildings, collages or museums, to finding a cosy café and enjoying a tea and some cake!
Day 2 – Today we explore two colourful Cotswold villages, firstly heading for the market town of Stow-on-the-World, home to many fine antique, art and craft shops. After some free time, we then visit Bourton-on-the-Water, where we have arranged a delicious cream tea for you. Often referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, the village is home to attractive bridges that cross over the River Windrush.
Day 3 – After breakfast we visit the market town of Circencester, often referred to as the Capital of the Cotswolds. A short walk away from the bustling centre you’ll find Circencester Park, home to the Bathurst family. The park is free to enter and was designed to be a relaxing rural retreat, now home to the tallest yew hedge in England. After some free time, we return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Perhaps head to the hotel’s outdoor terrace and watch the world pass you by.
Day 4 – Enjoy a little rest and relaxation this morning at our hotel. Perhaps take a refreshing dip in the indoor pool or take advantage of the fully equipped Spirit Health Club which features a sauna and spa bath. This afternoon we visit the National Trust’s Buscot Park, a splendid 18th century house and family home of Lord Faringdon, set amidst enchanting landscaped grounds.
Day 5 – We have saved one of the highlights of our holiday for you today – before returning home we will visit the annual Blenheim Palace Flower Show! Packed with inspiration, flowers and plants and everything you need for your home and garden the show is a celebration of lifestyle and the great outdoors. After some free time, we will continue home.
