DURING YOUR STAY
Day 1 – This morning we take you to Althorp Estate, the magnificent home to nineteen generations of the Spencer family, including Princess Diana before her marriage to Prince Charles. Showcasing one of Europe’s finest private collections of furniture, paintings and ceramics, each room has a fascinating story of its own. Then, we take you to our hotel.
Day 2 – We travel to Windsor for free time. This charming town is home to a beautiful riverside location as well as plenty of cafés, restaurants and Windsor Castle – one of the Queen’s official Royal residences and the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world!
Day 3 – After a relaxing morning we visit Henley on Thames, adjacent to the River Thames, Henley is an historic riverside town overlooked by a beautiful landscape of wooded hills and green fields. Home to the famous annual Royal Regatta. Here, we have arranged a delightful river cruise, with an informative commentary on board.
Day 4 – After breakfast we visit Blenheim Palace, nestling on the edge of the Cotswold’s this UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts over 300-years of history, including being the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Explore the gilded State Rooms and experience the beauty and magnificence of this Grade I listed building. In the afternoon we visit nearby Oxford The ‘City of Dreaming Spires’. Famous around the world for its prestigious universities and places of history. With a mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty to do from visiting one of the many historic buildings, collages or museums, to finding a cosy café and enjoying some tea and cake!
Day 5 – We retrace our footsteps home.
