Day trips to Porto are a popular activity, but there are also quayside beaches and cafes to enjoy on either side of the Douro River. There will also be the opportunity to pre-book an OPTIONAL excursion to Porto, beautifully situated on the Douro River estuary in northern Portugal, it is one of the oldest European centres, and its core was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.
