Day 3

This morning, we arrive in the mystical Orkney archipelago; located north of John O'Groats, it's where Norse and Scottish history intertwine. We moor up in Kirkwall, the 'capital' of the windswept Orkney Isles. Stroll down historic streets, explore medieval ruins, and embrace the rugged beauty of this Scottish town amidst the North Sea.

Day 4

Another relaxing day at sea to do as much or as little as you like.

B, L, D

Day 5

After a relaxing morning at sea, we arrive in Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, in the afternoon. Named 'Smoky Bay' after the area's numerous hot springs by its Viking founder Ingólfur Arnarson, Reykjavik is the most northerly capital in the world, but despite this, it retains a friendly small-town atmosphere. Why not take in the stunning architecture of the Hallgrimskirkja church and explore the city's vibrant street art scene against a brisk North Atlantic backdrop, or further afield, soak in the nearby famous Blue Lagoon's geothermal waters?

B, L, D

Day 6

We awake this morning in Reykjavik, with a full day to explore the city's historic heart, full of boutiques, numerous museums, and art galleries, not to mention many Viking artefacts around the city centre, and to find out more about the city's development at the National Museum and the Saga Museum. The ship departs early evening.

B, L, D

Day 7

This morning, we travel to the most northerly parts of Iceland with a visit to Isafjordur, a historic settlement dating back many centuries. Offering stunning fjord-side vistas and rich charm, you'll be dwarfed by the stark mountains that surround this small town. Feel free to wander its quiet streets and harbourfront, where wooden eighteenth-century merchant houses still stand, whilst admiring panoramic viewpoints and the captivating coastal ambience of this Icelandic town nestled within the Arctic Circle. The ship sets sail again in the early evening.

B, L, D

Day 8

We continue our circumnavigation of Iceland with an early morning arrival in Akureyri, set in a stunning location on Iceland's longest fjord, Eyjafjördur. Cradled by spectacular mountains and fjords, Akureyri in northern Iceland has a rich maritime history, often complemented by the subtle dance of Northern Lights above. Situated just one hundred miles south of the Arctic Circle, but warmed by the Gulf Stream, lending it a relatively moderate climate, as evident in the town's botanical gardens, the most northerly of its kind in the world, where a glorious display of flowers and plants thrives. As the ship leaves port this evening, keep your eyes peeled for the amazing wildlife that inhabits the waters below. Harbour porpoises, white-beaked dolphins, humpback whales, orcas, blue whales, and fin whales have been known to appear amongst the bobbing puffins from time to time.

B, L, D

Day 9

Our next port of call this morning takes us to one of the most picturesque villages in Iceland, Seydisfjordur, characterised by its street lined with multicoloured wooden houses imported from Norway between 1895 and 1922. You will have the opportunity to witness cascading waterfalls just outside town and marvel at the Eastern Region's spectacular fjords. The ship sets sail again mid-afternoon.

B, L, D

Day 10

Another relaxing day at sea to do as much or as little as you like.

B, L, D

Day 11

We arrive on the Scottish mainland this morning, visiting Invergordon on Scotland's east coast, which is rich in maritime history and Highland charm. Take a stroll along historic quaysides, explore coastal viewpoints, and experience the authentic Scottish atmosphere of this port town along the Cromarty Firth.

B, L, D

Day 12

Enjoy your final relaxing day at sea to do as much or as little as you like onboard.

B, L, D

Day 13

After breakfast on board, we will disembark back in London Tilbury, where our coach will be waiting to take you home.

Ambassador Ambience

The first lady of the sea: the word ‘Ambience’ derived from the French word for ‘surrounding’, Ambassador’s goal is to create the optimum atmosphere onboard, one that brings out the best in everyone.

With an average 1,400-guest capacity and careful configuration, she offers both a feeling of spaciousness and freedom, whilst retaining that sense of intimacy and camaraderie we each crave; it’s whatever makes you comfortable.

Entertainment-wise, she really will spoil you for choice. Let your hair down at the Observatory and bring out your finest ensembles for The Palladium. Whether you like it shaken or stirred, she has numerous bars to whet your whistle, including Raffles Bar, Botanical Lounge, SW19 and The Purple Turtle Pub.

Dining options are plentiful at our Buckingham restaurant or the Borough Market, with plentiful cuisine options, and for those wanting to soak in nature’s glory, we have our glorious Alfresco Grill. Wining and dining are more than fine at Saffron*, Sea & Grass* or our deluxe Chef’s Table*, where we offer a speciality gastronomic experience that’s not to be missed.

Put your best cards forward at Aces & Eights bridge and card room and the Ambassador Casino or revive and renew at the gym and Wellness Centre. Other facilities include Kapoor’s, our onboard crafting studio, Brontë’s library, the shopping galleria, not to mention a swimming pool, two hot tubs and a large screen for outdoor movies. Sound good?
