View Dates & Book

Spectacular scenery awaits as we board one of the 'Greatest Railway Journeys in the World'; all aboard the Jacobite Steam Railway as we travel from Fort William to Mallaig past Ben Nevis, alongside Loch Morar, the deepest freshwater lake in Britain, and over the famous 21-arch Glenfinnan Viaduct. We also visit Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, explore the Isle of Skye, and enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness – maybe you can catch a glimpse of the mythical Nessie?

Journey on the Jacobite Steam Railway

Cruise on Loch Ness from Clansman Harbour

Free time in Mallaig

This tour may be unsuitable for passengers with restricted mobility.

RAILWAY (FULL DAY) - Starting in our resort of Fort William, we join the world-famous Jacobite Steam Railway to Mallaig. Described as one of the 'Greatest Railway Journeys in the World', this section of the West Highland Line crosses the mighty Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous in the Harry Potter films. At the end of the line, we arrive in Mallaig. This busy fishing port is home to many shops, bars, restaurants and plenty of fish and chips shops. After some free time, we make the return journey to Fort William.

& LOCH NESS (FULL DAY) - Inverness is a compact, cosmopolitan city with a lot of heart and all the wonders of the Highlands on its doorstep. This afternoon, we'll head towards the legendary Loch Ness for a cruise on its mysterious waters. Arriving in Clansman Harbour on the Caledonian Canal, you will board our Jacobite Cruise and venture over the deepest point of this storied Loch.

(FULL DAY) - We begin our day with a brief photo stop at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most recognised in Scotland. From here, we cross over to the Isle of Skye, continuing to the colourful harbour town of Portree. After free time in the island's capital, we head south to Armadale. Centuries ago, Armadale was best known for its wild boar hunting - a pastime that attracted royals and gave the town its original name, Barbauchlaw. Finally, we return via the famous 'Road to the Isles' and stop at the Glenfinnan Monument and Viaduct for another quick photo opportunity.
