Day 1

We visit York, the most important historical city in the north. You'll be spoiled for choice, with historic buildings, museums, river cruising and shopping all on offer. Afterwards, we continue to our hotel.

Day 2

This morning, we visit Durham, a 'perfect little city' where you can shop for gourmet treats and locally produced food or find a café and watch the world go by. Why not take the opportunity to visit the magnificent castle or awe-inspiring cathedral? After free time to explore, we return to our hotel for an early evening meal before travelling to Auckland Castle for tonight's spectacular Kynren performance. As dusk falls, this action-packed show can begin, featuring pyrotechnics, stunning lighting, water effects, and a cast of over a thousand performers.

Day 3

After breakfast, we visit Thirsk, a traditional North Yorkshire Market town and the home of James Herriot. We later return home this afternoon.
