Day 1

After early pick-ups, we travel to Dover for our Channel crossing to France, continuing onwards to the Rhine Valley. We arrive at our welcoming, family-run hotel later this evening, where dinner awaits after your journey.

Day 2

Enjoy a leisurely start before setting out on today's excursion. On our June departure, we visit Koblenz, located at the famous 'Deutsches Eck' where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet, and home to historic landmarks including Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. On our August and September departures, we instead visit the charming wine town of Rüdesheim, with its half-timbered houses and the lively Drosselgasse. You may even wish to take a cable car ride over the vineyards up to the Niederwald Monument for spectacular views across the Rhine.

Day 3

Today we travel to the beautiful town of Cochem, often considered one of the prettiest in Germany. Nestled in the Moselle Valley, its cobbled streets and riverside setting are overlooked by Reichsburg Castle, creating a truly postcard-perfect scene.

Day 4

After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure or join our optional Rhine river cruise. Sailing from Kamp-Bornhofen, glide past hilltop castles, charming villages, and vine-covered slopes towards the legendary Lorelei Rock. Disembarking in Boppard, enjoy free time here before returning to the hotel.

Day 5

Spend a relaxing day in Kamp-Bornhofen, a peaceful riverside resort known for its pilgrimage church and tranquil setting. This evening, after an early dinner, we head to the spectacular Rhine in Flames. Watch as illuminated boats glide along the river, accompanied by breathtaking fireworks lighting up the night sky. You will experience this spectacular event in Rüdesheim (June), Koblenz (August), or St Goar (September).

Day 6

Today, we enjoy an excursion to Cologne, a vibrant city with a rich history. Explore the impressive cathedral, stroll along the riverside promenade, or browse the many shops, cafés, and restaurants in the old town.

Day 7

We say 'auf Wiedersehen' to our German hosts as we begin our journey back to Calais for our return crossing to the UK, bringing this memorable Rhine Valley adventure to a close.
