Day 1
We start our journey by visiting Beverley. This East Yorkshire market town has cobbled streets and quaint boutiques and is renowned for its exquisite thirteenth-century minster. This afternoon, we continue to Whitby.
DDay 2
Our day-long tour of the North Yorkshire Coast starts travelling via Guisborough to visit the seaside town of Redcar, home to a unique vertical pier. We continue via Saltburn-by-the-Sea, home to plenty of Victorian charm and the last remaining pier in Yorkshire, before continuing to the picturesque fishing village of Staithes. A much-loved cliffside gem and once one of the biggest ports in the North East, explore the winding cobbled streets and picturesque beach for yourself!
Please note - Staithes is located down a steep hill, and passengers must walk into the village from the coach, which will be parked at the top.
Day 3
Enjoy free time in Whitby, a much-loved seaside town! Famous for its literary connections with Bram Stoker and Dracula, why not climb the famous steps to Whitby Abbey and take in views of the bay below? If you're looking for maritime history, you'll find the Captain Cook Memorial Museum in the seventh-century harbourside house where he served his apprenticeship. Remember to enjoy some fish and chips or treat yourself to some classic Whitby Jet!
B, DDay 4
Exploring the moors has never been easier as we board the lovingly restored North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Travelling from Whitby train station, you'll enjoy views of the rolling hills before passing through Goathland, which you might recognise as Heartbeat's Aidensfield or Hogsmeade Station from the Harry Potter films. We continue onto Pickering, where we alight for free time in this Yorkshire market town. We continue by coach through Hutton-Le-Hole, one of the country's most picturesque villages, before returning to Whitby.
B, DDay 5
Today, we visit Scarborough, Yorkshire's original seaside resort, home to stunning scenery, glorious beaches and lots to see and do. Why not immerse yourself in the town's history at Scarborough Castle or venture down to the seafront to enjoy the traditional amusements, cafés, and ice cream parlours before leaving for home mid-afternoon?
BB=Breakfast, D=Dinner
From a stunning clifftop location, enjoy amazing views on all sides of the beaches, harbour, old town, abbey ruins, and headland. With Yorkshire-style hospitality, all rooms come with ensuite bathrooms.
