Day 1
After departure, we travel south for our ferry across the English Channel. We continue our journey to this evening's overnight hotel.
Day 2
We recommence our journey via a visit to Colmar on the Alsace wine route, regarded as the region's quintessential town. From here, we continue our journey over the Swiss border, towards Leysin, a village in the Bernese mountains.
Day 3
Explore the Swiss Riviera today, starting with a visit to Chateau de Chillon, an opulent eleventh-century castle hailed as one of Switzerland's most iconic attractions and the inspiration for Lord Byron's poem 'The Prisoner of Chillon'. We next enjoy a scenic drive along Lake Geneva, enjoying an abundance of beautiful views and peaks of the eternally snow-capped Savoy Alps. Travelling through Vevey, the home of Charlie Chaplin until his death in 1977, we visit the medieval city of Lausanne; surrounded by vineyard-covered slopes and the gentle waters of Lake Geneva, enjoy free time to explore the charming Old Town, dominated by a beautiful cathedral, regarded as one an impressive example of early Gothic architecture.
B, DDay 4
Enjoy a day at leisure to enjoy the fresh mountain air in Leysin. A journey up Mont Berneuse via cable car can take you to the summit of the mountain with perfect views of Geneva and Mont Blanc on a clear day. Alternatively, why not join us for an optional full-day excursion to Geneva? Travelling via the charming spa town of Evian-les-Bains, we visit this favourite of presidents and kings, famous for its Evian mineral water. We continue to cosmopolitan Geneva; from the iconic Flower Clock to breathtaking lakeside vistas, this vibrant city is home to a stunning old town, the picturesque St. Peter's Cathedral and 'Jet d'eau', a giant water fountain and a city icon.
B, DDay 5
We head to the chic mountain resort of Gstaad, a winter playground for the rich and famous. Here, we enjoy free time to relax and explore before this afternoon's journey on the GoldenPass Belle-Epoque train. This nostalgic journey evokes the Orient Express and provides unrivalled charm, panoramic views of golden vineyards, green alpine meadows and blue lakes, culminating in a steep and winding descent to Montreux. where we enjoy free time at journey's end. Found at the foot of surrounding steep hills, it has an wonderful flower-lined promenade along Lake Geneva and is famous for its jazz festival.
B, DDay 6
After bidding our hosts goodbye, we travel back to our overnight hotel.

We continue our journey over the English Channel and return home this evening.
