Day 1
We travel to our hotel, where a warm Scottish welcome awaits us in the Highlands.
DDay 2
This morning, we head to Ballindalloch Castle, one of the finest surviving examples of a Scottish Baronial Castle, where you can explore five hundred years of Highland history, acres of beautiful formal summer gardens, woodlands and riverside walks, splendidly set in the heart of Speyside. We return to our hotel for an afternoon at leisure, where you can relax and enjoy the hotel's riverside location next to Old Packhorse Bridge, the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands.
B, DDay 3
Starting with a leisurely morning in Carrbridge, enjoy an afternoon excursion to the popular holiday resort of Aviemore, located in the northwest corner of the majestic Cairngorms National Park. After a little free time, we board the Strathspey Steam Railway for a journey back in time to a bygone age of rail travel, offering relaxing views of the Cairngorms vista and passing through moorland, woods, and magnificent mountain scenery, all alongside the meandering River Spey.
B, DDay 4
Today, we head to the breathtaking Moray Coast dotted with picturesque harbour villages. We visit the historic royal burgh of Elgin, where you can explore the town's attractions, such as the museum and ancient cathedral, or enjoy the many shops. We then take the stunning coastal route through Lossiemouth, Hopeman, and Burghhead, passing some of the most beautiful coastline on the North Coast. We also make a stop in Nairn, with its stunning beaches and award-winning bars and restaurants, for some time before travelling back to the hotel.
Day 5
As our Scottish hosts bid us 'haste ye back', we begin our homeward journey after breakfast this morning.
